WJ, B-CC Einstein, Blair, Northwest, Sherwood used to be awful school and now they are right up with the W schools.
btw there is only one W school and that is and always has been Whitman but as I said the shine is not so bright anymore with the latest drug arrests and assaults a simple read of the weekly police report will show you that.

I'm not sure if you were responding to me (the PP just above), but I agree that it's a W school. Like BCC, WJ is a little more diverse, so I left it out of my sentence above. Emphasis on little.

BCC is, in many ways, similar to the W schools, both in good ways (lots of resources, good college placements, etc . . . ) and bad (pressure cooker environment that can be very hard on kids). It's got a little more diversity both racially and socio-economically than Whitman, Wooton, or Churchill, but is still very white and very affluent. Sometimes you'll hear people say "W schools and BCC", instead of just "W schools".

As a graduate of a W school I can their lead over non W schools has been shrinking over the years and the shine is wearing off due tot he high stress put on the students. One of the W schools actually has part of the day for relaxation to reduce stress, seriously-wtf, this is supposed to be a great time in a kids life, why put so much pressure on them.
