per MSDC:

If a student is matched in the lottery, they are waitlisted only at schools they ranked higher than the school to which they are matched.

If a space becomes available at one of the schools for which your child is waitlisted, and you are next on the waitlist, you will be contacted by that school. It is common for applicants to move up the waitlist throughout the spring and summer. If you have already enrolled at a school, and you are offered a space at a different school, you may choose to withdraw from the first school and enroll at the second.

Lower ranked meaning lower # so more desirable. Sorry for any confusion I caused.

You will not be dropped from the waitlists for any of the school's you ranked higher than the one you got into. So enroll and claim your spot and then hope that you get a call from Cap City

we got into our 3rd choice and waitlisted #13 on 2nd choice Cap City, If i enroll in our matched school, do I remain on the Cap City wait list? ie, say a I reach #1 in Oct do I have the option to take that slot and change schools? or upon accepting and enrolling where we were matched, do we lose or waitlisted options?

thanks Im sure this might have been asked in another thread.
