He is trying out a couple of medications and we found that Viagra was most effective for us. I love it and he loves it. Our sex life with or without it rocks.

Both of us are committed to making our marriage and our sex-life as fantastic as we can. And as we age, we know that we will need aids to continue to keep sex a part of our relationship. I love it that he was so open to doing it for me.

This is great! Exactly how it should be.

If women only had our equipment, they would know that it doesn't just always magically get hard. They take offense to it because they expect that it's so automatic that guys don't even have to think about it.

Wrong. It has nothing to do with us not being attracted to you. And the worst part about it is that the way many women react to the situation only makes the man's problems worse.

I want to know from other women, here, who have been in a similar situation, how the addition of Viagra or other similar medications have affected your sexual activity together and your relationship.

I do not think this a graphic question and i am not giving my reaction because i don't want to bias the answers to my question.

My DH takes it recreationally when we want to go at it for a longer night or multiple times.
I think viagra is great!!! Why would it negatively impact a relationship? It makes him hard as a rock and his penis literally feels larger. What's not to like about that?

I'm glad you said this - I thought it was my imagination. My husband takes it and his dick feels noticeably bigger and much harder.

Seriously. Huge. he could probably Golf with it.

Honestly, we're both getting older and that's just part of life. I'm crazy about him and I'm glad that he's willing to address the issue. And honestly, the sex is much better.

Haven't been near "hard as a rock" in over a decade. Sigh.

Except that divorce rates have been falling since 1990. Viagra was patented in 1996 and Facebook was launched in 2004. So, I guess we're looking at cheating and herpes as the primary culprits.

Oh geez! No offense, but I think that your divorce lawyer is full of crap.

This is a good question. I think the problem is generally exacerbated by female reaction.

I have suffered from performance anxiety in the past. So, it was purely mental. Thankfully, the first woman I ever encountered it with didn't get upset or offended or take it personally... And said to me, "Can I still suck on it when it's soft?" Bam. Never had a problem with her ever again.

Now, had she made an issue of it and became withdrawn, then all subsequent encounters would be her worrying about it, me worrying about it, me worrying about her worrying about it, thus a self-fulfilling prophecy.

So, how you react to it is EXTREMELY IMPORTANT.

If it's a medical issue, then it's a medical issue. It's like trying to talk someone into not being a diabetic anymore. Pure absurdity.
