And the part about DW handling her mother is right. It's nice of you to be concerned for your wife (whom you want to enjoy the event without drama, I'm sure) and for the MIL, but it's up to your wife to handle her mom, as it would be up to you to deal with these kinds of issues on your own side of the family.

They need to suck it up and sit where they're told. I find it hard to believe the father of the bride doesn't already know all this. Don't say anything to the father of the bride. I would stay out of it. Hopefully the bride/groom know of the issue and won't seat them together, but I don't think it is appropriate to say anything. If they are seated together, they need to just behave themselves.

We are going to a Wedding in MI. Half of my wifes family don't talk to each other, Would it be ok to ask the Father of the bride ( wifes uncle) to make sure that my MIL and FIL arent seated with the people they dont talk to, or should they just suck it up and sit where theyre told.
My wife is concerned that if her Mother gets there and realises she is seated with family she doesnt like, that she will cause some drama over it and want to be seated elsewhere.
