Pass on both and get the Insiders Guide to Colleges...feedback from attending students etc. Its really quite an interesting and accurate read.

It's highly recommended because Fiske was the education editor at the NYT, it was one of the first guides to come out decades ago, and the ratings closely correlate with the prejudices of the Ivy League set. But it's out of date and not particularly informative to prospective students today.
