OP--we moved here last year. Great location. We can walk to EFC metro and Westover. Neighborhood is nice with a mix or old and new houses. Lots of kids and we have found the neighbors to be very nice.

Do you do yard maintenance, work at a gas station or are a nanny? No other places to work around EFC.

There's a Harris Teeter and strip shopping centers.

Curious to know what the people are like.

Judgey "right-minded" / holier than thou?
Helicopter parents who want their kids to go to Ivys?
Hyper achievers?
Do gooders?
Clicky?
Community minded?
Diverse?
Do most people commute to DC? Tysons?

I live nearby and it's pretty much the best of both worlds - you are close to DC, close to Tysons/points West, close to 66 and 29 and Metro. Great schools. A wide range of home styles and home prices. You can't walk to much (other than metro and maybe the Lee-Harrison area) but you're a quick drive from a lot of things.

Did you really think that would help OP? I'm sure when OP wants your advice on the best time of day to get mugged in Bloomingdale or Columbia Heights, she can start a new thread and you can lend your expertise to that.

We don't live in this neighborhood, but if you feed into Tuckahoe you are going to love it. Excellent schools, lots of fun activities and overall sense of community!

I live in Falls Church City, but I'm not sure of you are considering the area. I love the city. Vibrant community, lots of kids and activities.

It's also the name of a specific neighborhood in the western part of Arlington County. It's like one of the more modest neighborhoods in Chevy Chase, Md.

What area do you mean by "east" Falls Church? Mainly I know of that as a Metro Station, not a neighborhood.

Thinking of buying there. Would love to know more about it.

What are the people like?
How's the commute to downtown DC?
What do you like most about it? Least?
Happy with the schools?
How does it compare to Bethesda/Chevy Chase?

Appreciate the insights.
