Chef Geoff's is fine for your occasion. The food is not amazing but it has a ton of decent options for a larger group and it meets your other criteria of being reasonably priced and very close to AU. Plus they have a small back room and if you are there during a quiet period they may give you the whole room to yourself.

How has only 1 other poster recommended Chef Geoffs?? It has good food, it is walkable to AU and can easily accomodate a group that size - book it!

Go there if you want that.

Nailed it!

You can't possibly be serious. Guapos is entirely disgusting.

too far to walk. Pain Quotidien, DeCarlo's, Tara Thai are walking distance from main campus and right next to the law school if you're going there.

Also De Carlo's on Yuma Street for skeletal, freshly coiffed republican housewives munching on Carpaccio de bue con Arugula: http://www.decarlosrestaurant.com/DC/aboutus.html

Tara Thai at Spring Valley Mall is serviceable: http://tarathai.com/SpringValley-Thai-Restaurant.html

I have an event to attend at AU in early May and wanted to plan a lunch after for about 12 people. Any recommendations for nearby restaurants that aren't terribly expensive? Only thing I could find was Ched Geoff's but no one seems too impressed with the food.
