Just switched to Amica for all 3 and we saved a lot (about $400 a year total) over what we were paying with Geico (used to use Geico to contact out homewoners and umbrella). It's possible that Erie and others are still cheaper but Amica made it super easy and they have good marks for customer service.

We saved a ton using an independent broker and getting everything w Travelers. I've quite referred 6 or 7 friends and each one went w/ the guy and saved money.

We changed from geico to erie. We got the same rate for our cars but much higher for home ins. Therefore, we picked erie for both

I'm in the process of evaluating the insurance I have for my home, umbrella policy, and automobiles with State Farm. My rates seem very high and seem to be going up more than I think is reasonable. I called Geico and they have better rates for automobiles but not homeowner's insurance (they contract out for homeowner's anyway). State Farm would not match the auto insurance prices I was quoted from Geico. I thought about splitting my auto from homeowner's with different companies but the loss in the discount savings for multiple policies makes it a wash.

Are there any other high quality insurance companies I should be getting quotes from? Just curious how often others reevaluate or switch their insurance companies.

thanks
