Baltimore's not that far.

I have a married friend who used to be in the Secret Service. When he'd have trips here, I'd go wherever he was staying to hang out - Greenbelt, College Park, wherever, because he wouldn't have a car. It was out of my way, but we were good friends. Before I had a kid, going to Baltimore (or Richmond, or Philly, or wherever) was no biggie.

Seriously OP - that is not exactly a cross country trip. I know people for whom that's simply their regular commute.

Dc to Baltimore is a pretty short trip. I've driven that far to meet up with old friends plenty of times. Even married guy friends. With nothing nefarious about it. MYOB.

I told her there's no way he is just a friend to her. She must like him even if she thinks she doesn't. They have been chatting a lot recently and I know she has feelings for him if she's going to drive that way just to visit him because he is in town on business. We all went to college together and he is good-looking and a successful finance guy from New York. They have been chatting a lot recently she said but she says it's just been friendly stuff. I remember him and I know he is very smooth. I'm not worried about her safety but I know she is going to fall head over heels and he'll probably just ignore her. Why do women do this? She is my friend and I have an obligation to try and convince her otherwise don't I? Her professional and personal life has been a mess recently and I thats left her vulnerable.
