I agree with this- and it could just as easily be more 'modern' to do herringbone in 10 years time. The design industry (including magazines and TV) doesn't make much money if they can't keep the pendulum moving and jumping from trend to trend.

Not a deal breaker. I also don't mind the stamped concrete at all even though I am sure on here its considered "cheap", I actually think its pretty awesome what they can do.

I like the random, but the herringbone is fine. Neither would make or break a sale.

Random. I think it looks more natural. Herringbone looks very manufactured and doesn't blend with nature.

This is a lightweight question but I'm second-guessing myself! For a backyard patio of about 400 square feet, in brown or gray (not red), do you prefer a brick-size paver in herringbone or a mix of sizes in random pattern? Does it matter at all? The herringbone is cheaper but I don't want to put in something that someday-buyers will think is ugly.
