Subject: UN Legal Job to Law Firm
OP here--I do have a personal life which is very important to me. I'm leaning against going back to big law (already did a few years right out of law school--although I woder if it would be better now that I'm more senior).

do you have to earn money to ransom your parent from Yemeni pirates?
If not (or some comparable need for an extra $100k/yr) then no way.

Not sure; don't law firm partners make $1M+? That's a lot of money you could be making in a few years.

Would you leave a UN legal job paying around $190k (amazing benefits, job security, low stress, etc.) for a law firm job paying around $340k? (as a counsel, no guarantee of partnership, stress, etc.).
