But for all intents and purposes it is EOTP

We don't go to Hearst but this makes it even more appealing.[/quote

let me see if i can be more specific:

1. I would love a strong arts/music/drama program
2. small class size
3. diversity - racial and socioeconomic
4. a great aftercare program with lots of activities
5. a nice playground the kids use frequently or a large greaen space for games, etc.
6. EOTP would be perfect

Now, any ideas?

Thanks

Brent Elementary has all that except #6. It keeps getting richer and less diverse. It nails everything else on your list, especially music and drama and the playground.

I wouldnt characterize the Springboard program as particularly great. There are hoever lots of add-ons, but they can get expensive quickly, especially with more than one child. Of the top of my head, I can think of tennis, soccer, basketball, chess, tae Kwan do, power tots, drama, cooking, video game design, arts at CHAW, tippy toes dance. If your not paying for the add-ons, it is more or less free play.

It's a charter, but Lee Montessori might fit the bill. Don't know about the playground.

Maybe Shepherd (DCPS) or Capital City?

I just appreciate that OP is staying positive. So sick of the negative threads on here.

Ugh - This always becomes a venue for boosters (of which, I am one) and it really doesn't get you any more detailed info than you'll get from a zillion other threads on this board.

What do you want to know? do you have specific questions or goals, schools you're already interested in?

I'm sturggling to find the point given all of the MANY MANY other threads like this.
