Beagles and bloodhounds tend to bay and to wander, so you need to make sure youre prepared for that. Beagles can dig their way under any fence tracking a smell.

I was thinking the same thing. We have a golden and what a sweet dog she is. I would recommend my mutt too but she's a mix of so many dogs..not sure what to recommend.
I think any breed dog can be wonderful if you put in the time, attention and love that all dogs need.
What qualities are you hoping to have in your dog?

Anonymous wrote:LOVE my Maltese. Low energy, but playful, smart enough that she was easily potty trained, but dumb enough to be content with hanging out with us (smart dogs get bored and chew), 100% devoted to us. No shedding, hypoallergenic
I love the breed and I'm on my 5th Maltese.
