I don’t know who made the poop, but you definitely have deer there. A lot of them.

We use Repels All Animal Repellent to keep squirrels out of the garden. Has worked so far - last year they ate all my tomatoes, and so far my tomatoes have not been eaten. I reapply it every 1 to 2 weeks.
It’s just granules of various herbs/spices that rodents don’t particularly like. Won’t hurt to try.

Fix the holes in the fence. With chicken wire etc.

They certainly don’t like having pellet guns fired at them.

We live not too far from you and we've got rabbits too but they seem to be cyclical. We will have them for a couple of years, then they will disappear for a couple of years. Not sure why. But the dog does chase them so that helps.

We also have many fox spottings so thinking natural selection may solve this issue.

op here. glad I am getting some responses - thank you! I am 98% certain these are not deer droppings - in part bc the droppings are tiny, but more so because I have never seen a deer in my neighborhood - I live near River Rd and Western Ave - tiny lots, no deer, lots and lots of rabbits. Unless someone has an idea, I think it is impossible to fence out the rabbits from the yard on the whole because the other aspect to my neighborhood is that the lots are not perfect flat rectangles but instead are irregularly shaped and sloped - so we do have fencing but there are going to be small gaps between the fence and the ground in places due to the slopes and rabbits can flatten themselves to get under the tiniest cracks. Thanks for these ideas - I will plant from marigolds but I don't think I can ring my property with them.

Yup. I've got a ton of deer crap in the yard right now. Looks just like rabbit poop, except slightly larger and a lot more of it.

I live in Bethesda on .1 of an acre. I have a tiny, sloped yard with a lot of shrubs, ivy, etc and little grass. Since I have only a small grass area, it is where my kids play. Today I went outside to get the lay of the land since the snow has finally melted, and the grass is covered - I mean covered - with rabbit droppings. The droppings are in clusters but there is literally a cluster every 6 inches - way too many for me to pick up (I guess I will have to rake it all up). No way can I let my kids play on the grass now.
Does anyone know of a (humane) way to keep rabbits out of my yard?? I have a dog and obviously is scent is not a deterrent to the rabbits.
