You can hire movers to move things within your house.

The Alternative House is a local charity and will come and pick up donations so does Habitate Restore.

Donate to A Wider Circle (http://www.awidercircle.org/donate_neighbor.html). I'm pretty sure they will move the furniture from wherever it is in the house; you can call to confirm.

We recently moved into a new house and would like to shuffle some furniture around now that we are getting more settled. We are also going to be buying some new furniture to replace old stuff and will likely donate or sell the old. Some of these items are extremely heavy -- for example, we are going to replace our bedroom set, so we have two dressers and a queen bed to donate. In my experience, you have to have the donated furniture easily accessible for pickup.
We also have an extremely heavy elliptical that we want to move from the basement to our bedroom. Even the movers commented how heavy this thing was when they brought it in.

I don't even think my husband and another strong male could handle moving these items without damaging a few walls in the process.

Is there a company that does this sort of thing?
