I never thought so either, but the guys at Lenscrafters made a huge deal about how my glasses would take 2 weeks because the "prescription is so high."

Second the recommendation for Apex. Really great to work with and particularly knowledgeable about difficult prescriptions or special issues that might arise.

I am very nearsighted (-7 and -4.5) and have never been able to get glasses that feel comfortable. Any recommendations for an excellent optician in DC area? thanks!
