I never experienced terrible twos or threes with my kids either. DD was grumpy when she stopped napping, and will probably be a pill as a teen, but apart from that, it's been very calm on the behavior front.

Can you tweak your lifestyle in some way? is everyone over-tired and under-exercised?
Might you be depressed?

I have never experienced what you have, OP. But then I am a "glass half full" kind of person, and my children are my greatest source of joy and happiness (and frustration and worry).

Anyway you do need to change something. Good luck with finding what it is.

OP, I am with you. I really want my own apartment right now. Where I get to watch what I want on TV, lay around on the couch all day, work from home in silence, and sit in the same place for 5 whole minutes in a row.

I am sorry you're going through this. What helps me is to change my attitude and be excited and compassionate about whatever she wants/needs. But, today I'm a hormonal rage monster to the point where I apologized to my husband in advance of me being a total bitch today.

I encourage you to find a Mothers of Preschoolers (MOPS) or similar type of support group asap. *hugs*

You need to redefine your days, OP. Compartmentalize more. Work is here... DH is here... Kids are here... my physical being is here... That way you can enjoy full the good feelings of one without being negated the others. "I had an amazing workout this morning. DC is teething and cranky" instead of "I had an amazing workout this morning BUT DC is teething and cranky".

It's weird but compartmentalizing has worked for me for centuries. Enjoy the victories as they happen.

I attribute it to the weather.at least that's my story this week.

Just because one person is having a bad moment it doesn't need to equal a whole bad day. And just because one person is Ina bad mood or doesn't need to be contagious. Don't let them suck you in!

My children (ages 3 and 5) take turns having bad days. The one day they are good, I will have a crappy day at work. DH, who is normally pleasant, will have a bad day if everyone else is in a good mood.

I feel like everyday is a shit day for one reason or another.

I used to have such a wonderful life before having children. 360 out of 365 days were good days. Now I have 360 bad days out of 365 days. The 5 days that are good are usually vacation days when I go away alone.
