Like sleeping under a cloud, plus it somehow magically is always the right warmth.

I absolutely cannot recommend these, mine were a mess after just a year.

Can you recommend a brand of cruelty-free down comforter?

Ours is Pacific Coast brand and it's been great. I also like Company Store.

I bought a King sized for our Queen sized bed and am very happy. Hotel version from Macy's.

I would actually go the European route and buy two twin (or full) comforters. It is a drag putting on a duvet cover for such a huge comforter. Google some images, and you'll see what I mean.

Costco has a vendor with high-end down comforters during the winter, but they're probably gone by now. I actually bought my last down comforter from costco.com (after looking for the vendor's stuff) and it's been outstanding.

Bloomingdales. Hands down. The best down comforter I've ever gotten.

Not unless you have comforter-theft issues from one of you. Not at all anywhere near as cozy.

DH and I are upgrading to a king-size bed and we need a King-size down comforter. I have not bought a comforter in decades. Any suggestions for where I should look for a good-quality one?
