According to the TurboTax web-site, Premier includes "Investments and Rental Property" which sounds like what you want.

Premier is $89.99 full retail, but you can probably get it for some discount somewhere for less. This says that Deluxe is $59.99 but I got it for $49.99 at Sam's Club.

Correct me if I'm wrong but TurboTax Deluxe used to cost $69 and TurboTax Premiere this year costs $75, so it's only a $6 difference?

Be careful. Turbo Tax messed with its product this year in attempt to make more money (i.e., screw its customers). It removed some fairly basic forms (Schedule A I think?) from the Deluxe version. Following an uproar, it has apologized profusedly, but after a decade of loyalty I'm switching to H&R Block this year, which was $40 cheaper for me.

Just start with the cheapest. If you need additional forms, it will tell you and ask you to upgrade. We went with deluxe (just the standard W-4 workers, with student loan interest and mortgage interest).

turbo tax breaks it down on the boxes. Just pick the one that has all the checks in the categories you require.

I'm going to give turbo tax a go this year and would like any suggestions. I live in Va and work in DC and also own property in DC that I bought before I got married. We have a tenant in there now. Hubby works in Va. I know this questions seems silly but will turbo tax work for us? Which one do I get? As you can tell, I don't normally do my own taxes but really can't afford to pay anyone $500 this year.
