I've had two boys at WES who have had great experiences... Some of the rude WES information is quite outdated, even though heartfelt.

Norwood. WES has a reputation of not being good with boys.

Well, I have a boy at Norwood and he's been very happy with it. It leans to the sporty side, I think, though there are all sorts and plenty of kids to choose from for friendships. In fact, my boy is not particularly sporty but loves PE classes ... the PE teachers are extremely inclusive. Art and music are strengths there, too. I don't have experience with WES.

Neither would fit my rambunctious 8 yr old.

WES is Episcopalean, Norwood is secular.

WES is a smaller school compared to Norwood. The number of boosters will also be proportional to school size.

If your child is 3rd grade or older, go with Norwood. Many boys leave in 3rd and 4th for Landon and St. Albans.

Norwood seems to keep more of their kids in school till 8th.

Their outplacement is very good. Excellent music program.

Very different schools. Knowing a bit about both, though a parent at neither, I would go with Norwood. Lots of outdoor space, beautiful facilities, and slightly larger group of classmates as the grades progress. Good luck with your decision!

I think I have a feeling what the dcum community will say and I know I should not take dcum word as the full truth... But we are struggling with the decision for many different reasons. Throwing this out there to see if I am missing something.
