There's a nasty stonach flu going around right now - way more likely, if anthing, its that. And my condolences, if so! I'd just stay hydrated and hang in there.

You may not have food poisoning. My wife has gone through two IVF cycles, and both times she got terribly, terribly ill right after our embryo was transferred. The first time it happened (with our son, who is now a happy 22 month old) we thought she'd gotten food poisoning from a salad bar. The second time she got terribly ill (also resulting in a BFP) we thought it had to do with the implantation or something funky happening with hormones. So it might be a good thing that you're sick! Good luck!

Thanks, guys. I'm reassessing this as more of a bug. Aches, low-grade fever, but nothing projectile. I was almost out of the woods this winter!

If you have salmonella, you will know very soon. And there is nothing a dr can do to stop it, just treat symptoms. If you have food poisoning, stay hydrated and talk to your dr. The embryo is only a couple of cells and probably won't be too hurt if you do get food poisoning.

No. Get some sleep and stay off the internet until your period is here or if you test positive.

Cannot say for sure OP.

I would call a M.D. for sure to rule it out though.

Perhaps your nausea could be pregnancy related....?

Either way, you need to seek medical attention ASAP.

I was making cookies yesterday and may have licked the spoon once, force of habit. I woke up nauseated and a little hot at 2 am and am now really paranoid that I could have salmonella. This early in the game, pre-implantation or at most, immediately post-implantation, is this going to impact my chances or cause harm to any would-be embryo?
