No i just tell him i don't feel like having sex. Day to day life and exhaustion is a legit excuse we've both used.

No.

DH can take the honest truth.

No-- wouldn't he know if you had your period or not?

Wander by "Scary Mommy" and read the confessions. You'll frequently see statements about what women are saying to get out of sex. I've seen the period one.

Making excuses - and even outright lying - instead of just saying, "I don't want to have sex" seems to be pretty common there (if not here.)

I just spit my soda all over my computer and everyone is trying to figure out what the hell happened.

Thank you for that - crappy day turned around with a good laugh

As a DH I always assumed that "I'm really tired tonight" was the standard get out of sex free card.

BTW the "period" excuse only works if DH if completely clueless. Most men would know if you were actually on your period. We have calendars and can see trash cans, etc.

Never. Unfortunately too much demand from DH is not a problem for me.

I can't even imagine this. I seem to ALWAYS want it these days. Something clicked when I turned 40 and I'm damn near insatiable.

No. If I really don't want to do it, I don't. But I usually just say yes. Why would you lie?

Unfortunately for me, my husband isn't put off by period sex, so, his only response would be to go grab a towel.

Why don't you just tell him you don't feel like having sex?

lied and told your husband you had your period to get out of sex, because you knew you were going to get it in a day or two and he'd never know the difference?
