The Y camp will be open to non-ITS students and will be run by the Anthony Bowen YMCA - it is not an ITS sponsored camp, just will be using ITS building/facilities.

As far as I know, they still don't know which camps will be at ITS and which will be on-site at the Y (14th/W St NW) and which will be at Meridian PCS, where they had a bunch of camps last year. Most of the basic camps are $210/week for Y members, $235 for non-members. $60/week aftercare.

I heard that ITS would have a camp run by the Y. Anyone know the cost or if it's open to non-ITS students?

Also heard that Stokes would offer a 4 week camp that is open to non-Stokes students but is expensive, don't know actual cost. Any other info?

Unless you're going to Sidwell or Valley Mill all summer, $275 is not less than the other camps around here. We spend on average $220.

What camps do you do? We generally pay about $300 per week and would like to pay less, but we're not doing DPR again!

MOMIES tlc actually runs their own camp. We went last year and it was wonderful. It was structured exactly like aftercare, but with more intense "Great People" blocks. They also went on field trips to various places (ziplining, water park, amusement park) and to the pool weekly. They did yoga and meditation. It was great and if it was slightly more convenient, we'd do it again this summer but getting to the MOMIES building was a huge problem so we're doing other things.

Highly recommend, though.

Where is the MOMIES building?

In fairness to Mundo Verde, the camp used to be far cheaper when the OSSE funding was available. Without the subsidy, the school had to raise the price to cover the higher costs.

Yes, that's why I asked which schools were still offering camp despite losing their funding, how much they were charging and whether it was open to non students.

OSSE is not funding summer school anymore.

Apparently many schools have lost the funding they had in previous years to offer free summer camps for their students for the first few weeks of summer. Which schools are offering programming anyway? How much does it cost? Is it (or will it be) open to non-students of that school? What type of activities does it include?

Do any DCPS schools offer camps?
