Subject: Trying to find case law studies relating to FAPE in VA
Thanks, 11:05. My son is not technically on the spectrum so I"m not on that listserv but it sounds like it could be very helpful. What is BTDT?

Are you on the fairfax autism yahoo list serv? There are some people on there with older children-you might find someone who has BTDT over there.

Thanks 10:10. I'm trying to find cases where FAPE has not been provided for transition planning/services as required by IDEA so I can get an idea of what types of issues/situations prevail and which do not, and the reasons why. From what I have gathered so far I do not believe my son is being provided FAPE for transition planning/services based on his unique needs, so it would be really helpful if I could read some cases on this particular topic to see whether or not my beliefs are accurate.

As far as legal research, the prominent websites are West Law and Lexis. If you have specific issues, you could also try the search function in the school district website. If you have specific issues, maybe someone here knows the answer.

OP here. Yes, I have looked at Wright's law. There are a few cases on there, but not specifically related to transition that I could find. I am not sure if there is an online database or other vehicle, which is what I'm hoping to find.

Wondering if anyone might know where I can research case law in VA relating to FAPE, specifically in the area of transition planning and services? TIA
