Broke my elbow on one. Still have pain in my elbow many years later. Not worth it in my opinion.

It's secure only in that it has a high fence (5 feet maybe). But if you were 14 and wanted to get into it, you would certainly be able to.

Interesting. Did you ask them about it?

What exactly would you ask?

Turns out our kids are classmates. So my kid jumped on it at a birthday party. Fun was had by all.

I guess I mean, what the the ped say - that concerns about injury were overblown in his opinion or that the benefits of exercise outweigh the risks? That sort of thing.

The insurance claims for trampolines can be kinda scary, I guess. We have enjoyed ours for about 4 years now. It's great and the kids and their friends never seem to get tired of it.

We go to the ER a couple times a year (boys!) but never for the trampoline. (ER for bikes, car doors, baseball, playground slide..)

Seriously? How did the insurance company even know about it? Can't you sign a waiver or something??

Haven't I read here that having a trampoline on your property affects your homeowners insurance?

Here's what I know:

I had one as a kid and loved it. My kids take gymnastics and really love them as well. They are in elementary school.

But I know people are concerned about injury and liability.

We live in CCDC and our yard is fenced, however if we got a trampoline it would clearly be visible to neighbors and their kids.

Is it a terrible idea?
