I really don't appreciate their "get the eff out" campaign that plays at all hours. I don't like their smutty potty mouths broadcasting this during morning rush hour. I wish the FCC would fine them.

OP here. Thanks. I just waiting for someone to advise me to unclench, and you didn't disappoint.

You are justified being appalled OP. I hate it when people dismiss this crap with "well they hear worse in kindergarten" that still doesn't make it OK. Let kids be kids.

I hate the new Usher song about how he doesn't mind that his girlfriend is a stripper.

The station is definitely trying to attract a younger audience - especially based on their morning show.

If you'd read my original post, you'd see that I generally play my iPod instead of radio.

Not OP, but you are not a parent, so run along now.

I know that exact song and find it really disturbing they play it. It also has a line about 'pulling your panties to the side'- gross, I don't even want to hear that at 8am, much less my kids.

I'm not sure when they changed their formatting. It used to be the "safe" alternative to 99.1, but then 94.7 came on the scene and 107.3 introduced rap.

If you want to hear Top 40 hits but don't want rap, try 94.7.

It's a pop music (Top 20 or whatever they're called) station now. You need to listen to 97.1.

I hadn't listened to the radio in my car in a long time (usually stick to iPod), but today I happened to turn it on 107.3 and - at the risk of sounding like an uptight prude - was completely appalled by the rap music they were playing. Seriously explicit lyrics, something like, "she gripped the back of the toilet while I had one leg on the bathtub," or something like that. I was really, really glad my kids weren't in the car with me. What's happened to what I thought used to be a family-friendly station?
