OMG Im the prior poster who used Alaskan Husky - my original plan was to test Gray Owl, but I never ended up testing it. But for OP - test gray owl and alaskan husky and see what you like!

We have a guest room like that (faces north - one window - under tree cover). Went with BM Alaskan Husky. Its a great gray on the lighter end, but not almost white. And its not blu-ish, purple-ish, or beigey.

I did light blue in a basement family room with one small room and it really brightened things up. And for a guest bedroom, it can be easy to find linens and stuff that would go with light blue.

I hate yellow. Don't do that.

Check out Ben Moore muslin. It really brightened and warmed up our dark room.

I would go white or cream and keep furnishings to a minimum. Lots of hardwood is great- show them off.

I think yellow or light peachy tones make a small dark room feel sunnier/brighter.

Looking for suggestions for a paint color for a small square guest room with only one tiny window. Does not get too much sunlight. There are nice hard wood floors. Right now it is a muddy green that I am not fond of!
