OP here. Her prices are kind of high (dollar a pop!) would you pay her "list" prices or just offer her a set amount of money?

You need to pay her. I think it's odd that you thought she'd do it for free!

Reach out this minute. It was assumed you would pay, unless it was your best friend people don't make cakes and goodies for other kids parties without pay.

Are you serious? Someone you don't know very well brought dessert to a birthday party at your request and it didn't occur to you to pay her? Even for the ingredients? Even if you didn't know it was her business, how do you not offer to reimburse her for the cost of materials?

Huh. I would never assume that someone makes something for a party just because. Seems weird you never asked. I would reach out to her now.

I was at a birthday party a few weeks ago and they had these adorable themed to match cake pops and cookies. People were talking about them and mentioned how Larla (a mom of a guest) makes them for parties. She casually said she could make them for any party we had in the future. I mentioned to her we are having a cars themed party in February and she asked how many of each we needed and that was that. She showed up to the party with beautiful cake pops and cookies and everyone loved them. So I friended her on Facebook realize and she had a whole "business" page about her bakery items with pictures, prices, and order forms. I never offered to pay her and now I feel bad. Should I? I confronted another mom and she was shocked I didnt pay her. "Lala is very talented and she spends a lot of time on these and you should be supporting her as a business woman" etc etc. However, she NEVER told me she charges for them. WWYD?
