I was going to suggest the same but he is in Friendship Heights and OP said MoCo. For all we know she's in northern or western MoCo making it difficult to make that drive. That said, two thumbs up for Kuwabara!

I was not thrilled with them. When we went the dentist kept getting up and bouncing between patients. Everyone was in one large room. No privacy. Asked some very personal questions with other paitents next to us who every time she got up questioned me. It was very uncomfortable. They also just looked for the exam and never cleaned my childs teeth.

I don't know who you saw there, but we are in a room absolutely by ourselves, and the dentist is with us the entire time, and sees no one else. Are you explicit that you have an SN child who is disabled?

We see Dr. Lewis.

Same. We had an 845 appt for my son's first check up. He has HFA. They kept us waiting for an hour, put him in a loud room and then wanted to restrain him when he wouldn't cooperate. We go to Dr. Kuwabara now in friendship heights and have had a wonderful experience.

That is who we changed to too. I did have to hold my son the first few visits but this last time he loved it and keeps asking to go back.

Used to go to Dr. Morganstein, whose practice became Ensor, Johnson, and Lewis. It was just not the same. Very aggressive treatment, and just did not seem as thoughtful as before. We left also, switched to Roya Pilcher, who has been great.

We had a very good experience with this practice:

Their hygienists are super patient and gentle.

My 5 year old has not been able to go beyond the lobby area of any dentist in 2 years. We have tried and tried and tried. He did great as a toddler but something happened when he turned 3. Anyhow, I'm looking for a dentist who understands anxiety and who can work with us to get him beyond the lobby -- over time. I'm not talking about "he's afraid"....this is anxiety/panic. He just freezes, shuts down and can't talk or move....even when we decide to leave, he can't. It takes him a few hours to recover. He is completely fine at school and other situations. It's just dentists and some medical appointments. We live in Montgomery County.
