One thing I did notice through the years, every couple I knew that had a big church wedding divorced.

My Mom and Dad married at 19 and 20. they were happily married until my father.s death from cancer a few years ago they were also Wonderful parents.

My DH and I started dating at 15. We got married at 21, our senior years in college. We've been married 28 years.

I know a lot of couples that met in HS that are married and are very happy. They are in their 50's.

My in laws. He was 22, she was 20. Of course, the marital roles were very firmly set. which helps a lot.

My husband and I met in high school, dated all through college and grad school and got married at 23 and 24. We've been happily married for 14 years.

I'm happily married - got married when I was 26, which I don't consider young but is younger than average in DC.

married at 22. two kids, at 24 and 26. happy. we had some bumps going through deaths in the family and work stress, but have a very strong marriage.
I would say we were mature then and still are. we have our differences, but an unmistakable bond.

I met my wife in the 4th grade in 1975. We started dating in 1980 and were married in 1991. Still happily married today.

I am very lucky to have found the person to share my life with at such an early age.

Is it perfect, nope. Would I change anything, nope.

No. From reading here we all know that's not true.

I married at 20, just about to hit the big 25 year mark. He was my neighbor.

Brother married his best friend's sister, they are still going strong 28 years now.

Immaturity doesn't know age. Some made poor choices for mates.

DH and I married at 24/25. I don't know any couples who are as happy as us. Marriage has been pure bliss for us. That first year of marriage was our favorite year of any.

DH definitely pulls his 50%, but neither of us are bean counters. We're both hard workers

Yes, I do. One of my good girlfriends married at 21; he was 25. They're a very happy, successful couple with a great life. They've been together for almost 30 years, married for 27.

I know two couples that met in college and married right after. They are among the happiest couples I know. Neither are from the same hometowns.
