Having been at WES for 2 years and then left, yes, the administration is totally tone deaf. The current admissions director however was a fantastic teacher.

So there is a rule against sending applicants an invitation to a science fair and a valentine's box? Curious...

I got one of these too -- do other schools send so many communications in between applications and notification? They are all lovely communications but its just so atypical from other schools.

I would not read too much into these e-mails or letters. Probably the admissions office is following up on the applicants. Just like every other school in the area, WES sends acceptance/rejection notification letters at the first week of March.

Agreed. WES isn't the only school that bombards rejected families with emails.

What Valentine's package? More details. I find it so odd that I am curious.

You do not send an email that says congratulations. that's just wrong!

Maybe you were accepted and you missed that email or letter??

What was the Valentine's package? Why tone deaf?

That means you must have also received the tone deaf valentines package?

We received the same email, and we didn't even apply to the school. We attended an Open House and have been receiving email from them on a fairly regular basis ever since.
