Good rates this time of year in Va Beach, decent seafood. You can also hit the outlets in Williamsburg on the way down or back up.

What do you want to do? I would go to Rehoboth if I were turning 58 but not 28, I would stay at the Hilton in OC and cab around to the different places to eat/drink.

Hmmm. The beaches within 3 hours of the DC area are Rehoboth (family friendly, somewhat nicer), Ocean City (family friendly, less nice), Dewey (think party town), and Virginia Beach (a bit of everything). Personally, depending on the time of year, I would probably pick Rehoboth.

So I am turning 28 soon and want to go away for a few days for that occasion. I really want to go to a beach nearby and have a relatively cheap but fun trip. Any recommendations?
