they also don't seem to learn from past experiences. Like when in season 1 Glen and Rick covered themselves in blood and guts to go undetected. Carol did that to free them from terminus, but that was the only other time someone used that trick. And why not do like Michonne and chain walkers to you to go undetected? Again another way to survive that they never use

Was the housing sub., in Richmond, VA or South Carolina? I heard Richmond mentioned at some point, saw the sign for South Carolina, but they said DC was 100 miles away.
Ugh and then the painfully slow "Better Call Saul". I kept nodding of during both shows. Hope that picks up a little.
They were in Richmond. The SC sign was from when they drove from Atlanta area to Richmond.
I get that they think DC will be safe but also can't understand why they would want to head to a major metro area where they are sure to run into swarms of walkers. I also don't understand how there wouldn't be tons of cars blocking the way.

I also agree with PP, it doesn't meet the criteria for a "jumping the shark" episode. It was just very slooowwwww......
Jumping the shark = aliens come down & have a cure.

It took him so long to die.....and he had to know it was coming. Walking Dead has never had more than 2 black characters for more than a couple of episodes and even now there are 3 & maybe a fourth in the group. Really liked how some of the others were comforting while encouraging that character to join them. Unique episode.

I thought it was a great episode and well done. i was sad to see another cast member killed off so soon, but thought the entire episode was well done.

Oh, and from reading interviews with Andrew Lincoln, next week's episode will probably be similar in terms of pacing/tone/atmosphere.
They will meet a whole bunch of new people come third episode -- I know one of the actors joining the season then.

I don't think you know what the expression "jump the shark" means. That was NOT the equivalent of Fonzie waterskiing over man-eaters. Sheesh.
I thought it was an incredible episode. Was sorry to see what happened at the end.
It's good to be reminded now and again just how bleak life must be. It was eerily paced, sad. The desperation of Michonne to settle down. The glimmer of hope that is Washington.
That was probably one of the best episodes of the entire series.

I thought it was great and it's nice to see them changing it up a bit. This episode had me more engaged than any of the others have in a while. I hope they do more.

I hate it when these shows go artsy farts (like Twin Peaks did years ago). The flashbacks and blood dripping on the house photo got old.... Hopefully they make it right again.
