Because all teachers have to recommend all Math 5 students for Math 6. The system has become extremely rigid. He can't do anything else, even though he expressly told me that my son would do fine in IM.

Anonymous wrote:I am under the impression that all the students taking IM next year at middle school will have already covered Grade 6 material (compacted math 5/6 this school year). Your child will not have done that. I would guess that the middle school will tell you "no" based on this.
