Why are so many women's suits polyester? Anyone besides Brooks Brothers doing wool?

Second Tahari. I have found gray, feminine skirts and a dark green.

As PP said, try Bloomingdale's, Saks and Neiman Marcus. Theory typically has a lot of suit options but they are pretty standard cuts in terms of style -- no ruffles or other feminine details. I don't know how feminine you want to get with an interview suit, but Nanette Lepore usually has 1-2 suits per season that are definitely on the feminine side.

Depending on what industry you are interviewing with, you might want to consider a sheath dress (or something similar) under a blazer for a more feminine look. I would not recommend this approach for interviewing in certain industries (such as law) but it might be an option for an interview with a non-profit, for example.

I wish I knew! I have tried everything too. Have you looked at Bloomingdale's, Neiman Marcus and Saks?

You could try Dress Barn perhaps.

Also don't discount the power of tailoring. If you find a suit you basically like, you can always have a tailor make it fit better.

How about a blazer and a black skirt? I've never been able to find suits that fit properly (I'm short waisted and curvy) and I do not have the time to spend running back and forth to a seamstress to get a suit altered.

Lord Taylor.

Though I stick to a stylish black, with colored blouse-- usually a blue, to bring out my eyes.

Where can I buy a nice suit, which is feminine and good quality, in a color other than black? I tried Nordstroms, Macys, Ann Taylor....nothing that really catches my eye. I really liked some of the St. John suits, but they were out of my price range. Also, I think the Hugo Boss suits look like they were cut for men; I'd like something more feminine. TIA.
