Ha ha. I think I would prefer this instead of what my boyfriend says. He calls his penis a "pee-pee". Such as "I guess you really like the way my pee pee feels". WTF dude. I'm almost to my breaking point with it!

Agree with the announcer vs non announcer family comment. With that said my husband was so against discussing these private issues. After being married now for quite a few years it no longer bothers him, even after I ask to look at my bright green poop after eating a ton if asparagus. Now I may be an announcer but I want privacy during. He does not like to announce but will try and have a full conversation. No thanks.

We tell each other all the time. And we use loo, toilet, bathroom, and WC.

My ex husband used to tell me when he had to shit. It was disgusting. But he had ibs and would say " I have to go squirt". I tried talking to him it never changed. So glad I never have to hear that again.

If I am engaged in a conversation or activity with my DH, I tell him if I have to leave to go to the bathroom - isn't that normal? So, if we are having a conversation or we are sitting down at dinner and I all of the sudden have to pee, I tell him I have to go to bathroom and then go and return. I don't report on the state of my pee. Wouldn't it be more strange to just leave the room without saying why you are randomly leaving? Or are you saying you guys aren't even interacting and then he comes into the room just to tell you he has to pee?

I agree it's odd that he tells you when he is planning to pee.

There are announcing families and non-announcing families. It sounds like he is from an announcing family. I come from an announcing family. "I am going to the bathroom." "I am going to get changed for bed". "I am going to get he mail". "I am going to the kitchen to get a drink.".........

Try to make a joke and say "What's this new thing where you are always telling me you are going to pee? It's starting to weird me out?"

Or you can jokingly start doing it back to him, in a very studied way: "I'm going upstairs to pee. Then I'm leaving for work, where I might stop to pee again. I'll email you if I do. Please keep me updated about any further peeing instances."

I don't think it's weird to say "I have to pee." I hear adults say that in an ironic way all the time.

Constantly inserting it into every other discussion is a little strange though.

Tell him this. Be like, "Honey, I have to be honest. It's been bothering me how you announce that you're going to pee. It's kind of childish and just turns me off. Not trying to nitpick but it's been weighing on me and I figure it would be better to tell you now rather than letting it fester."
