.

I've been through the same thing as OP. I couldn't focus at work, People knew something was wrong even though I was still smiling, my mind was always on the break up, etc.

Once I moved out....it made a huge difference. Out of sight....out of mind.

You're probably just thinking about it a lot in the back of your brain, whether consciously or not. Therefore, not paying as much attention to other things and forgetting them. You'll get back on track. If you really want out, though, and you have a history of going back and forth, you should really actually get out of the living situation.

How do you meet a few new people and its only been one week?

I host a women's social group and we had a meeting this week. You don't meet new people every week?

It sounds like you are depressed. Totally normal after a break up of this magnitude. ! Don't worry you will eventually find your normal self again.

OP you need to find a way to live separately. That's step 1. There's no way to move forward until this person is out of your life both figuratively and literally.

I see a counselor bi-weekly. I was diagnosed with depression 10 years ago and have been on anti-depressants since.

I meant bi-monthly.

Can you move out, or do you own the place together? Are you absolutely sure you're breaking up, or is a reconciliation possible?

Can you take a couple of days off and just sleep?

Unfortunately our lease doesn't end for a few months. It's not possible for either of us to move.
We've been up and down for years. It's time for this to end. There will be no reconciliation.
I'm feeing tired all the time even though I sleep at least 6-8 hours per night.
My body hurts and I just don't want to be around anyone. I feel like I'm about to fall apart.

I'm normally a very social, bubbly person. I can hold interesting conversations with strangers, friends, etc.
My LTR imploded recently and my entire life has changed.
Since this has happened, I've turned into a complete idiot.
I can't remember names, dates, etc.
Also, I've met a few new people recently and am quite certain that I'm coming across as boring and introverted.
I just have no desire to talk to anyone. I don't even know what to say to them.
Thank God I'm holding it together enough to continue to do well at work.

Why is this happening?
