we've had a rug like this for several years, it's light gray.

I doesn't look like you could even get a vacuum over it. You'd have to hang it up outside and beat on it like they did back in the day.

We had this rug! Beautiful! We had to give it away when we moved into a new place where it didn't fit. It looked fantastic and got lots of compliments. But... one warning -- it's impossible to clean. Stuff gets lost in there forever, food will never come out... It was fine for us -- it was under a formal dining table that we never used. But shouldn't be in a high traffic area.
