If you don't want the color thrown on you avoid the color startions. They have specific points set up for people to throw the color so you just run on the outside of those spots rather than through the color station and your good to go.

Right, but if you are going to do that (avoid the color), why not just do a regular 5k? No need to spend so much money on the special "color run."
