We were just there, but the pool was not heated. My DS (5) swam one day, when it was about 80 out. For a heated pool, I think low 70s will be fine (for kids; I wouldn't go in! That said, it'll probably only work for older kids that can keep themselves submerged. A little one that wants to stand in the pool knee-deep and splash is going to get chilly quickly.

Kids have a different thermostat than adults I'm convinced. What seems chilly to us is bearable to them and will continue to play even shivering.

Water temp might be fine, but getting out with the air temp might be the coldest part.

Bathing suits take up no room in the suitcase so just bring them.

We went last January and did use the pool one afternoon. It was a blast !

I would be in the pool in those temps. I have been, actually.

too funny, I could have written this - will see you there OP, also have a kid with zero body fat

temps actually look pretty high on Sunday so that would probably be the best pool day - I'm bringing swimsuits, but we'll play it by ear, my kids aren't all that into swimming, but if they want to try the pool for an hour or so, I think that would work in our schedule on Sunday

Of course OP. I can't believe the wimps here who think it will be too cold.

My sister is there now with my 6yo niece. They've both said it's too cold (for them) for outdoor swimming.

We just got back from Disney last week, and there were plenty of kids (ours included) in the pool. Pack the suits! (That said, there were no adults in the pool -- all just watching from the lounge chairs )

Make sure you go between 12-2pm when it is the warmest out.

PP here and yes, +1 to this. We would go to the parks in the morning, come back mid-day for a swim and a quick nap, and go back to the parks in the evening.

OP here. Ok, will bring suits and try. I'm doubtful, as one of my kids starts to freeze within minutes of being in a pool in DC on the hottest day. No body fat on that one...unless the rest of us!

Probably too cold, sorry. We went to Disney in early March a couple of years ago, and it was borderline then. But why don't you just try it and see for yourselves?

We're leaving for Disney on Thursday morning (no snow, no snow, no snow). Highs about 71-72, lows 49ish. Our hotel only has an outdoor (but heated pool). Do you think it'd be ok for the kids to go swimming or too cold?
