What is your point? Mine is that if the ball is performing differently than normal, someone from the other team and/or the refs should have noticed. I see umpires pull baseballs all the time for being scuffed and potentially impacting performance.

The defense wouldn't handle the offense's ball unless there was a turnover. And what started this whole thing was a Colts player intercepted Brady and gave the ball to his (i.e. the Colts) equipment manager, who noticed it was inflated, who elevated it to the coaches, who elevated it to the league, who elevated it to the officials, etc.

Each team plays with its own balls.

Note: I do NOT recommend engaging elementary school boys in a conversation about this topic.

They are going to have to go through the entire season of video and see who is handling the footballs. If any similarities exist in the Ravens game, next week should have the Ravens playing the Colts for the AFC championship.

More seriously, I'm no scientist, but if they inflated the balls to (lowest allowed by regulation) 12.5 psi inside, where it was like 70 degrees, and carried them outside into the cold, wouldn't some additional deflation happen naturally? Or not that quick?

I have no idea but then wouldn't have happened in other games as well? Or games in other cold weather climates? I'm sure they deflate throughout the course of a game slightly, but wouldn't that have come up before or with other teams then too? Clearly, it had to be obvious for the refs to remove that game ball in the 3rd and for the league to require an investigation.

I find this so interesting. I fully understand that the Colts played TERRIBLE and had no hope in winning that game. It is more the principle of it.
