My DD had bowling birthday parties two years in a row. They were two hours.

If you MUST bring the sibling, I'd say get a lane as far away from the party as physically possible.

Pretty much all the venue bday parties we've been to (including a couple of bowling parties) have been 2 hours, so I'd say that's a pretty safe guess. If the hosts are OK with you dropping off the 6yo for the party, then I think it would be fine to bring the 4yo and get your own lane away from the party. If you are expected to stay and help/supervise your 6yo, I don't think you can really do that if you are bowling on another lane (potentially on the other side of the alley depending on lane availability).

Huh? My 4 year old loves bowling. He'd biwl every day if he could. And the dark lanes and loud music don't bother him at all. I'd expect the party to last between 90 min and 2 hrs. Probably 1 hr of bowling so it depends on whether they have a party room for 30 min or an hour. To be safe, I'd show back up after 90 min. And I think it's perfectly fine to bowl on your own with your younger child.
