Their foundation is light/sheer. The beauty balm they no longer sell was the best. Lotion was ok-I prefer Attitude Living's lotion for general use though bc I am allergic to the BHT in Vanicream.

I haven't used anything else I don't think.

It isn't really MLM, right? I got recommended thru someone and they got credit but I can (and did) just go to their website and ordered directly.

I ordered a number of their masks, facial mists, and sunscreens. the first two were fine, but not for the price. And then the sunscreen was only water resistant for 40 minutes, which really caused me to get sunburned .

I have a friend who is really into these (I think someone sells it at her gym) and has given me a few pieces -lipgloss and mascara. The lipgloss was meh and the mascara smeared (and I love my friend dearly but the makeup hasn’t looked great on her).

I have bought beauty counter for years. I like how they handle ingredients as that is important to me. I buy direct from the website but have it linked to an acquaintance to get the credit - I’ve never been pressured. I like their hand creams and lipstick. I’m planning to buy their lip glosses but hoping they have a holiday sale….they usually do. Their face oils are nice too. I haven’t tried the shampoo but have a friend (not a consultant) who likes that.

^^also don't really want this company to have my address. Apparently they deliver directly.

I think I'll ignore the link to this overpriced stuff, and "online party".

I'll figure out a way to support my friend without encouraging this; I don't want to spend $100 bucks on something I don't really want just so she can make $6....

Friend in MLM (yassss grrrrr-- as long as she keeps me out of it-- I did a quick read and the consultants make so little per purchase but don't have to pre-buy a huge inventory)

Anyway, are any products decent? I could buy for me, (40s) my 13yo daughter or I have a 30 something friend with a new baby who might like something?

I love it, especially during pregnancy when I'm worried about the products I use. My favorites are the shave lotion, shampoo and conditioner. I wasn't crazy about the every day moisturizer but I know others who love it. Haven't tried the makeup yet, they recently came out with their makeup line and it's gotten good reviews.

Tarte and dr. Jart are both good bb creams. Id be wary of anyone raving about a product sold through consultants. Maybe you can get a sample?

If you contact someone who sells it, they will send you free samples to try.

A friend of mine had the lip balm in a pot and two of the glosses and she raved about them. I didn't try them on, so I can't attest, but they were okay swatch wise.

Are you a regular reader of the blog? Was she provided free samples? Because blogs have gotten less impartial lately. Which is to say: check more sources.

I just ordered some things from Beautycounter and I love it. I searched all over for gluten free lipstick and hand cream and Beautycounter was one of the only ones I found. It's so helpful that they are completely transparent about ingredients and I appreciate that they don't use any of the chemicals that the EU has banned for consumer products (don't quote me on that, but I'm pretty sure they don't use ANY of the EU banned chemicals). I tried the chap stick, which seems like Carmex in a prettier package and the lip shears, which I really liked quite a bit. i've also tried the body lotion (good texture, but perhaps a teensy bit too scented for my taste) and the kids shampoo (great). I'm pretty sure you can return for a store credit if you don't like the product, which is nice. I was really happy with the purchases and I hope other companies get on board with ingredient transparency.

I had never heard of this brand until reading a blog tonight that raved about them. I'm looking for a new tinted BB cream. Origins has been my go-to for years but they've changed their formula and discontinued the one that matched my skin tone. I don't want true foundation, so a tinted moisturizer is perfect for me. Extra bonus if it has SPF, which is why I liked Origins.

Beautycounter might be a good replacement?
