I need to follow some model of some church who has already done this, or get some examples and cull from there as to what may or may not work for us. . . .

Mormons? The answer is always Mormons. They've got to have some kind of a model for dealing with women with IF. They would not just simply let people be invisible.

PS I remember feeling so invisible in our church while going thru IF .

My infertility, which I've been dealing with for 4+ years, has really challenged my faith And I've had some dark periods. I don't know of any pastors but wonder if there's a christian support group?

On a search for infertility blogs/articles and other resources, I was thrilled to stumble upon an article on infertility that featured my pastor (Mathew Watley and his wife). He is the pastor of Reid Temple AME church in Silver Spring. Search for his name and Uptown Magazine and you'll find the article.

I wish I had something to say. I am Catholic--well a divorced Catholic--so I go to church but know that the priest will tell me I am going to hell. I actually would look for a therapist who also has a div degree of some sort. I have a therapist who does spiritual work--she is Jewish but is more ecumenical (sp?). Also, there is a Christian website that has forums: http://stepforums.bethany.org/viewtopic.php?f=19&t=25002.

I know this isn't what you are looking for, but I hope it helps a bit.

I have found that my infertility situation is challenging my faith as it continues to drag on. Going to church is becoming difficult, and something I've pretty much avoided for going on two years now. Can anyone recommend a church or Pastor that has experience in the complications infertility can through into faith? DC and Protestant preferred, but not required.
