I'm a second wife. I am older than I was during my first marriage. I am about 14 months younger than DH's ex. He and my ex have birthdays a month apart. I am a lot less willing to let him run the show. I do like having sex with him, which she apparently did not, though it was not the main reason they divorced.

I've seen it up close, with my boss' three wives. The first one was nice, pretty, and pleasant but was his age so she was just pretty for her age. But certainly not crazy. She bore and raised the children, and did it well. He cheated on her with a crazy, but beautiful, second wife. That ended because she's crazy and he's an a-hole. Then he hooked up with third wife, who was pretty at the time, but after she snagged him let herself go and let out her true mean personality. Now he's too old to find anyone else, so he's stuck with her as punishment.
But do what you want! I don't know why any sane woman would marry you.

That's because the husband is just a lousy judge of partner. I waited to marry the right wife and for me the first wife is perfect. I didn't make a mistake the first time.

Until the second wife realizes why the first wife left… Then I guess the third wife would be better than the second wife. And so on.

I'm the second wife, and I am awesome. Mostly because I don't cheat on DH like the first one did. But also because I'm not crazy.

Third wives get even younger, and usually the first wife is so fugly that she is basically a social leper
