Totally with you, OP. I have two SN kids and the road has been rough. One is now in college and is crashing and burning. I had a good cry last night.

Totally with you! I am calling everyone out on their stuff too. Just fed up and burned out. Truly.

I can handle all the tough stuff from school, work, home... then the sunday school teacher said "little johnny had a tough time today" and next thing I knew I was crying all over her... and I don't even KNOW her.

We've all BTDT. I'm in the midst of the three year IEP re-eval for one child, and I swear, the people at school are going to think I'm a lunatic with all the emails they are getting from me right now...

There must be something in the water i almost started a thread this morning titled: ''help pull me out of my depression.'' DC has been doing so well lately but had a bad day yesterday. We've been at this for a while but for some reason this setback just sent me into such a despair. Its like you don't feel like you have the strength anymore to deal with the bad stuff you've dealt with before.

I was just thinking the same this morning. Great days are truly extraordinary and I think that I'm the luckiest parent in the world to have such an awesome kid.

Bad days just leaves me feeling emotionally drained and unstable. I think that it can be so overwhelming because this is something we will have to deal with forever.

Yup. 22 years and still struggle with it regularly.

It's almost comical. I can handle all sorts of things hearing "wow, how do you handle that so well" and then I hear some minor thing from the teacher that even she considers minor and 5 minutes later I am a sobbing mess thinking make.it.stop.leave.me.alone. I know they are just as burnt out from all the kids/parents/obligations.

Yep, BTDT. It takes it's toll and quickly.

Anyone else burnt out? I know the things to do to take care of myself-no worries. Yes, I know about therapy, massages and so forth. Not looking for advice, just others who relate.Would rather not go into everything that contributed to this, but man it hits you like a ton of bricks. It's like you juggle 28 things, you have your many set backs and your triumphs and you handle it all gracefully and then suddenly some little thing is the straw that broke the camels back.

Might have to start counting the days until summer. Summer is usually pleasant despite the change in routine. While I'm mostly really pleased with the school, I would like a break from seeing or hearing from anyone there! Winter Break was really nice. we're barely back and I've had it!
