My kitchen is white (cabinets/backsplash) with gray flecked quartz counters - my accent color is turquoise/light blue which I used for accent rugs, dish towels, and my crock/counter canisters. Walls are painted light grey.

Red sounds like a good fit for you - you can buy red canisters

Dog food on display is not visually appealing. Can't you put that in a cupboard?

I would prefer it this way but my dog eats twice a day on schedule and it's mixed with wet food. Just easier to have a "conveyer" belt system. Fridge to the left with the wet food, sink and jar of food in the middle, his dish on the floor to the right.

Red gumballs or those sour red chewy candies would work.

Target has really cute steel canisters with geometric designs in the dollar section right now.

My kitchen is newer (1998) but completely builder grade. Gray laminate counter tops and white square bath tile as the backsplash. It's awful and lacks any charm whatsoever but we can't afford to fix it at this point. We do at least have nice tall white cabinets with molding, painted the walls a neutral cream color and we did install stainless appliances so that helped but I still want to cry when I look at my kitchen.

Can anyone recommend some canisters that could somehow look good with gray laminate and white bath tiles? I have some clear ikea jars with silver lids but they look a little too plain/industrial. Not sure if that's the best match I'll get. Help!
