Not PP, but Stanford and Yale are among schools that want all test scores.

My daughter took 3 and submitted 2 to the schools requiring them (which is the case for many of the selective private schools). If my memory serves me right, Georgetown was the one exception in that they required 3. My understanding is that the schools simply asked for 2 (or in one case 3) of her choosing, without any reference to wanting to see all taken.

My DS took zero SAT subject tests and was admitted to large state universities in MD, SC, and VA, including Va Tech.

Yes. Schools that ask for SAT2s for admissions don't accept APs as an alternative.
And the tests were quite different. My DC got a 5 on the AP, but didn't study for the SAT2 the first time and didn't do that well.

My child took 3. Retook two of them. Georgetown requires 3 and other top tier schools require 2. Some schools accept the ACT in lieu of the subject tests. Most schools do not even require subject tests but make them optional.

Four SAT 2 exams. Chemistry and Math 2 after 10th grade, Spanish and US History after 11th grade.
Eight AP exams by the end of 11th grade.

Yes, the SAT subject test for US history is based on a high school level course. The AP test is based on a college level course. The AP includes writing and subject test is only multiple choice.

DC took Math II and Chemistry in spring of junior year and Math II and Physics early in fall of senior year.
