My DC scored in the high 90s for all sections but yet we realize that is only one factor in the whole equation. Grades are good but not perfect, teacher recs are hopefully good - we have no reason to believe they would not be. Yet, we realize it is super competitive and at this point our fingers are crossed...not much more that can be done now that apps are in.

Those scores are very high. I don't think that's the norm. I've heard that 70% is considered good enough to get into the top schools.

Not many people score about 90 in all sections I believe.

That's my question too! DS did great on both ISEE math sections, ok on reading and poorly on vocab.

My daughter received over a 95 on the quantitative but did very poorly on the verbal and reading.

I've heard (from a friend who works in admissions in a highly selective school) that its considered easier to get a high score in reading or verbal, but a high score in quantitative really stands out.

Hi, I just wanted to ask,
Is the quantitative part on the SSAT more important or the reading and the verbal more important?
Which of the three categories do most private school admissions expect a good score?
