Same here. You only need so much money, but you can never have enough time.

No. 200K is plenty. If it isn't then managing your money better is better than working longer hours.

Considering I already work two jobs to pull in a minimally decent salary I'd have to say no.

OP your question made me think of this Economist article: http://www.economist.com/news/christmas-specials/21636612-time-poverty-problem-partly-perception-and-partly-distribution-why

"Thirty years ago low-paid, blue-collar workers were more likely to punch in a long day than their professional counterparts… For the past 20 years, and bucking previous trends, the workers who are now working the longest hours and juggling the most responsibilities at home also happen to be among the best educated and best paid."

No. 200k is a great salary. 40 hours a week is a sane schedule.

No way. What could you buy with the additional money that would be better than time with your family.

Before I had kids I took a similar situation and it was ok for a few years. Could NEVER do it with kids though. At the time it wasn't the day to day I minded but it was the few times a year where everyone else was enjoying life and I wasn't...IE: the holidays, a cruise where I was on my laptop constantly, my brothers graduation when I had to leave right after the ceremony and miss a really great party, etc. The money was nice and I saved a lot bc I had no time to spend it...so theres that too!

No. If I worked 80 hours a week I would never see my daughter. We're doing fine on my current salary.

Not totally hypothetical - current job is 40 hrs a week and about $200k. Other job is about $400k but likely more like 80 (8 to 8 daily plus a few hours at home, and some weekends).

I struggle with choice here: financially it's a no brainer, but I've always said that being rich means having lots of time more than lots of money.
